Sand building sculpture teams from over twenty countries turned the Peter and Paul Fortress beach into an openair sand gallery. With this years theme, Living Water, the creations covered mythological figures, modern interpretations of folklore, gods of the ancient world. The only question we have is how does it all stay together for so long? Also during the festival, there will be concerts and live music performances on the beach. This is really spectactular - ballet dancers on stage with the Neva as the backdrop. Absolutely superb.
